Dr Stephanie Davies (Anaesthetist)

Trained at UWA and did her training in Anaesthetics in Perth and the UK. During her Anaesthetic training she also subspecialised in Pain Management.

Subsequently she has devoted her career only to pain management to research and to running various programs including being Head of Service at Fremantle Hospital, Adjunct A/Prof at Curtin University and Senior Lecturer at UWA. She established the STEPS program at the Fremantle Hospital Pain Medicine Unit (moving to Fiona Stanley Hospital in 2015) and has supported the replication of the STEPS program locally and nationally. She was the co-lead to establish www.painhealth.csse.uwa.edu.au for the WA Department of Health. She established www.mylibrary.net.au and www.researchaustralia.net.au .

She spends her spare time caring for 8 children in a blended family with her husband, Dr Nicholas Cooke.
