Dr Shah grew up in the UK and completed medical school in Birmingham, UK. She began her paediatric training there, working at a number of large hospitals including Birmingham Children’s Hospital. She came to Australia in 2005 and has worked at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Royal Women’s Hospital and a number of regional hospitals including Nambour and Caboolture, gaining experience in all aspects of paediatric and neonatal medicine. Dr Shah is happy to consult on all aspects of paediatrics but her areas of interests include neonatal care, Infant and feeding issues, respiratory issues, endocrine and puberty issues and developmental and learning difficulties. She enjoys helping families achieve the best outcome for their children and is happy to work closely with GPs, allied health staff and schools. Dr Shah participates in teaching of medical and nursing staff both at Buderim and Nambour Hospitals. She is a member of the Paediatric Service Committee at The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital. When not working, Dr Shah enjoys baking and crafts and is kept busy looking after her 2 school age children.
