Siobhan graduated in Medicine from the University of Adelaide in 2000, and was awarded her fellowship in Medical Oncology by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2010.
She subsequently completed a 2-year Clinical Research Fellowship in breast cancer at the internationally renowned Royal Marsden Hospital in London, United Kingdom, during which she was involved in the set-up and running of several international phase II and III breast cancer trials.
Dr O'Neill spent a further 2 years at University College Hospital London where she played an integral role in the development of an Acute Oncology service. As an active member of the London Cancer Network, she worked on clinical pathways within UCLH and across the hospital network to improve cancer patient experience and outcomes.
Dr O'Neill returned to Australia in 2013, joining Prince Of Wales Hospital as a Staff Specialist and commencing private practice in Suite 20. She has admitting rights at The Prince of Wales Private Hospital. While she manages patients with a wide spectrum of tumours, her specialist areas of interest include breast cancer and carcinoma of unknown primary.
She is committed to the provision of both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training and has been a clinical examiner for the Australian Medical Council (examining internationally trained doctors), University of Adelaide Medical School and University College London.
