Dr Simon Walters was born and raised in the Hunter Valley, NSW, but has relocated with his young family to the beautiful Tweed Coast.
He worked as a Radiographer at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney for several years before deciding to study a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) at The University of Sydney.
Simon completed his internship & residency locally at The Tweed Hospital gaining experience in: General Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, and Palliative Care.
Simon is passionate about General Practice, believing that developing a good relationship with your GP is the best way to work towards good physical and mental health for the duration of your life journey.
Simon enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter in the great outdoors, exploring local beaches and national parks.
On a sunny day, you may find him surfing at Kirra or Rainbow bay.
