Dr Drakeley graduated from Leicester Medical School (UK) in 1999 and after completing his first years training in UK worked in Mount Isa A+E as well as in Brisbane for a year. He then returned to the UK to complete his GP training. Dr Drakeley is experienced in general medicine and his interests include chronic disease management (especially diabetes) as well as weight management. Having lost 25kg himself and maintained the loss he feels he can really help people with their weight management issues. He is trained in pre-hospital mental health assessments and management of chronic mental illness.
