Dr Dai is an experienced Paediatric Ophthalmologist and Strabismus Surgeon, and is the current Director of Ophthalmology at the Queensland Children’s Hospital and Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Services. He is Chair of the Australia and New Zealand Strabismus Society and is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland.

Dr Dai completed his Ophthalmology training with a Masters Degree in Ophthalmology in China, and following this completed a Clinical Research Fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology in the United Kingdom. After moving to New Zealand, he completed further specialist training in Ophthalmology in Auckland and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists in 2005. He then underwent further Fellowship training in Strabismus, Paediatric Ophthalmology and Paediatric Neuro-ophthalmology in Toronto, Canada.

Dr Dai is passionate about making people see and feel better. His extensive training, experience and expertise covers a wide range of conditions, in particular:
