Dr Shironee was born in Sri Lanka where she completed her Medical Degree. In 2007 she migrated to Australia with her family and worked at Hervey Bay Hospital, Gosford Hospital and Wollongong Hospital. Shironee decided on a career in General Practice in 2012 and worked for many years locally (Bomadery, Kiama, Aboriginal Medical Service Dapto and Illawarra Occupational Health) finally completing her fellowship (FRACGP) in 2014. She also completed a Diploma in Child Health and is a clinical lecturer at the University of Wollongong, Graduate School of Medicine.
