Sharyn was born in RBH in 1952. She grew up on Gold Coast and in Noosa (Hastings St) before returning to Brisbane for school years at St Pascel’s, Wavell Heights, Aspley East State School, Aspley & Kedron State High. She graduated from University of Qld in Dec 1976 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She did her intern year at RBH with a country terms at Gladstone Base Hospital and the Gympie Base Hospital. Sharyn then spent 5 years as Radiology Registrar at the Mater Hospital and Toowoomba Base Hospital. She spent two years in General Practice and then time at the RBH before her son Julian was born. Since then she has worked in General Practice in the Logan Area with interests in women’s issues, especially Domestic Violence, mood disorders and gender issues In 1988 she commenced an Art Degree Part Time. Her Hobbies are Sailing & Gardening and her favourite past time is consuming Great Food and Booze in the company of Good Friends. Sharyn lives in Parkinson with 2 dogs, 1cat, 1 crazy parrot and an understanding hubbie called John.
