Shannon grew up in the Central West of New South Wales. She completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours at the University of New England in Armidale, before studying Medicine at the Australian National University in Canberra. Shannon has since relocated to the Tweed area. She completed her internship and residency at the Tweed Heads Public Hospital and has worked in general practice in Murwillumbah and Coolangatta. She is passionate about general practice and has a special interest in women's health, paediatrics, adolescent health and preventative medicine. Shannon lives locally with her husband and young daughter. She enjoys travelling overseas, spending time with friends and family and outdoors activities such as bushwalking, camping and fishing.
