Dr Shailja Tewari after being awarded Bachelors in Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery completed the Basic Physicians training at The Concord Repatriation General Hospital. She undertook Endocrinology Advanced training at Royal Prince Alfred, Prince of Wales, Bankstown-Lidcombe and The Concord Repatriation General Hospitals. Dr Tewari has gained varied and comprehensive training in all aspects of Endocrinology. She was awarded fellowship by Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2007.
She holds public hospital appointments at The Canterbury and the Concord Repatriation General Hospitals.
She looks forward to addressing your needs in managing Type 2 and Type 1 Diabetes. Dr Tewari has expertise in managing thyroid, pituitary, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis and assessment and management of hypogonadism and PCOS.
Dr Tewari has special interest in managing Gestational Diabetes and glycaemia in pregnant women with pre-existing diabetes, thyroid disorders other endocrine disorders in pregnancy.
