Dr Senthil Krishnamoorthy is very proud to be a part of the Grant Street Clinic Team. She is from South India, where she completed her basic medical degree and a post graduate degree in anaesthesia before moving to Australia in 2001.
She has lived and worked in different places in Australia like Alice Springs, Perth and Launceston before moving to Northern Rivers in 2005 to start her General Practice training in rural Australia. Dr Senthil Krishnamoorthy trained locally in Northern rivers and obtained her fellowship in General practice in 2007. Her special interests are in women’s health, shared antenatal care and paediatrics . She also inserts and removes Implanons’. She offers medical termination of pregnancy for women in need. She also visits the local nursing homes and continue caring for her patients after they move into the residential aged care facilities.
During her training and subsequently, Dr Senthil Krishnamoorthy developed a keen interest in medical education and became a medical educator for NCGPT and she is currently the deputy director of training with GP Synergy, which is an organisation that trains the junior doctors interested in becoming future General Practitioners. She is an examiner for the RACGP clinical examinations since 2014 and also involved with mentoring medical students in her practice through the John Flynn Rural Placement programme.
