After completing my medical and surgical degrees at Stellenbosch University I went on to work at a rural hospital in South Africa for five years. From there I spent two years at a training hospital where I completed a Diploma in Anaesthetics, spending another 8 months working in the Orthopaedic Department. In the eight years before immigrating, I worked for a Mining Company and was part of a team of ten Doctors servicing a community of forty thousand. I then immigrated to Australia from South Africa in 2008. After arriving in Australia I completed the Fellowship examination for The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Outside of the practice I am a very keen skier and love to surf. A very supportive family man, I love to spend time with them and support the soccer teams.
