Dr Sean Chan is originally from Canada and completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2011. He then spent time in North Queensland where he gained experience working in rural and remote locations.
He earned his Fellowship of General Practice in 2017 with extended skills training in skin cancer diagnosis and management.
Dr Chan's passion for skin cancer diagnosis lead him to pursue a diploma in skin cancer medicine and surgery and accreditation as a skin cancer doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
Dr Chan splits his time between family practice and skin cancer management and maintains his rural and remote practice by travelling to service patients in North Queensland several times a year.
He practices patient-centred care and ensures he maintains a contemporary knowledge of the latest advancements in medical and surgical treatment for his patients. Dr Chan has been working with IPN Medical Centres since 2015.
