Dr Scott Kitchener graduated from the University of Queensland in 1985 and worked fulltime in the Military until 2002. He completed Postgraduate studies at Cambridge University before working as the Director of Rural Medicine of the Darling Downs Region until 2008. Since this time Dr Kitchener has been the Medical Director of QRME which is the primary training organisation for rural GPs. Dr Kitchener also holds the position of the Rural Clinical Sub-Dean for Griffith University which he commenced in 2011, working closely with Medical Students. Dr Kitchener has a strong interest in medical education, particularly working with Medical Students and Junior Doctors. His other key area of interest is in Occupational Health.
