Scott graduated medical school at University of Queensland in 2011. After completing his residency years at Princess Alexandra Hospital he completed two years of Emergency Medicine specialist training before moving into General Practice. During his hospital time he gained experience in a broad range of medical specialties including cardiology, dermatology, plastic surgery, mental health, orthopaedics and general medicine.
Since graduating medical school Scott has completed a Master of Public Health in Defence and is currently undertaking a PhD in the area of skin cancer. He is also a Reservist Medical Officer in the Australian Army, a lecturer with UQ School of Medicine and involved in medical supervision of Crossfit athletes at regional competitions.
Scott’s interests include sports medicine, sexual health, travel medicine, military medicine, skin cancer medicine, dermatology as well as the broad range of medical conditions seen in General Practice.
