Dr Saveena Singh completed her medical degree in South Africa and then completed her Masters in Clinical Psychiatry in the United Kingdom, where she spent more than eight years working in the NHS. She moved to Australia where she completed her Fellowship in Psychiatry and works as a consultant psychiatrist in the Gold Coast.
Dr Singh’s special interests are in the areas of Women’s health and well being including mood and anxiety disorders and substance use issues in women. She also has an interest in early intervention and youth mental health from 16 years of age.
Dr Singh is actively involved in research and is a member of the John Cade Fellowship Trials Working committee. She is also involved in the training and education of medical students and future psychiatrists though her role with Queensland Health.
