Dr Sarah Walker, FRACP PhD is a staff specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Canberra Hospital and an associate at GastrotrACT.

Dr Walker graduated from the University of Sydney in 2000 and commenced her postgraduate training in internal medicine in Canberra. She continued her training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Dublin, Ireland and at Westmead hospital in Sydney. She was awarded her fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2009. Dr Walker went on to complete a PhD in Hepatology with the Storr Liver Unit at Westmead hospital and the University of Sydney, investigating the relationship between adiponectin and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Her PhD was awarded in 2014.

Prior to her return to Canberra, Dr Walker worked at Concord hospital in Sydney as a staff specialist Hepatologist. Her main clinical interests include viral hepatitis, chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. Dr Walker practices all areas of gastroenterology. She performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and hepatic transient elastography (Fibroscan).

Dr Walker is married with two children.
