Dr Ruth grew up in Toowoomba where she completed her Biomedical Science Degree at USQ and then went on to complete a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery through Griffith University with initial training in Logan Hospital. She spent two years at Princess Alexandra Hospital, particularly enjoying Endocrinology (Diabetes management) and Dermatology (Skin cancers), as well as enjoying some time in Emergency at QEII hospital. She has worked as a GP in both Dalby and Blackbutt and enjoys the rural lifestyle
