I initially trained as a physiotherapist at Curtin University and worked as a hospital physio before deciding I wanted to take on a double challenge - study medicine and move to Tasmania! The fresh air and beautiful bushwalks were the perfect antidote to many hours studying. I graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2010 before moving to Sydney for my intern year, then back to my home town of Perth. I worked in various hospitals around Perth including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, King Edward Memorial Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital.

I decided to specialise in general practice because I find the continuity of care, and getting to know patients and their families, very rewarding. I also love the variety - no two days are the same. i enjoy all aspects of general practice, but have a special interest in Women's and children's health, musculoskeletal injuries and mental health.

In my downtime I love jogging along the coast with my baby son in the pram, good coffee, trashy reality tv shows and torturing myself with cryptic crosswords that I don't even get close to solving!
