Dr. Robyn Jay has been working in General Practice for over 30 years. She is committed to family-based long-term care of patients. She believes that positive strategies of health promotion, prevention, and early detection of problems are steps GP’s can take in partnership with their patients to achieve the best health outcomes.
Robyn has looked after patients of all ages and, until her recent move from Sydney, had a significant number of patients whom she cared for over several decades of their lives. She began her career with a special interest in paediatrics. Being a woman Robyn has been involved in a good deal of woman’s health and is very experienced with PAP smears, women’s health checks and insertion of Implanons. She has been involved in Shared Antenatal Care in Sydney and plans to establish this service again in Brisbane.
She has been involved in aged care both at the practice and in aged care facilities. She is happy to do some minor surgical procedures such as suturing of wounds and removal of moles.
