Medical Director and Senior Surgeon I graduated from Melbourne University Medical School in 1974. During my training period I worked in general medicine and surgery in the South Pacific. On moving to Sydney I worked as a GP for five years in country and metropolitan New South Wales. My eye training was done under the late Professor Fred Hollows at Prince of Wales Hospital and at Sydney Eye Hospital. I became a member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists in 1984. In 1986 I started my own practice in Blacktown and in 1993 opened the first ophthalmic day surgery in Western Sydney. The day surgery (MetWest Surgical) has enjoyed full accreditation status from that date and I have performed over 7,500 eye procedures during that time. My major interest is in the treatment of adult ophthalmic eye conditions with a special interest in cataract and pterygium surgery, glaucoma and plastic surgical procedures. I live in Sydney with my husband and two sons, enjoy gardening and have a keen interest in the arts.
