She graduated medicine from the University of NSW in 1997. She then went onto work the next five years in several emergency departments including Royal Prince Alfred and Prince of Wales hospitals and also many country emergency departments around NSW. She then moved to work in the field of Psychiatry for the next five years in large hospitals in Sydney, managing patients in hospital and out in the community. Her next career move has brought her to general practice medicine where she has worked in central Australia indigenous communities and several inner Sydney practices. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has been a member of the College of Aesthetic medicine. She enjoys all aspects of general practice.
