Dr van Rensburg completed her initial qualification at the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 1995, before going on to complete her fellowship of the Australian College of General Practice in 2003. Upon commencing work in Australia Dr van Rensburg and her partner initially worked in rural settings, attending emergencies, nursing homes and outreach clinics. More recently, they have been working in their own practice in Charnwood before deciding to close their doors after 13 years and join the Ochre team. In her spare time, Dr van Rensburg enjoys various crafts.
