Dr Abraszko undertook her medical training in Poland, graduating with Honours. Dr Abraszko subsequently completed her specialist neurosurgical training in Poland and Germany, passing the European Exam in Neurosurgery in 1994, the same year she completed her PhD theses on the subject of severe head injuries. In 1995 she travelled to Australia and commenced research at Westmead Hospital. She moved permanently to Australia in 1999 and completed her FRACS in Neurosurgery in 2004. Dr. Abraszko has been published in national and international peer review journals including: The Journal of Clinical Neuroscience The Polish Journal of Neurosurgery Zentralblatt Fur Neurochirurgie (German Neurosurgical Journal)
