Dr Rebecca Kozor is a general cardiologist with expertise in cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR), cardiac CT and echocardiography.
Dr Kozor completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 2006, cardiology specialty training at Royal North Shore Hospital in 2014, and a CMR clinical research fellowship in 2015 at Barts Heart Centre, London, UK. She was awarded her PhD at the University of Sydney in 2016.
Dr Kozor is an active cardiovascular researcher and senior lecturer at the University of Sydney, where she co-directs the USyd CMR Research Group, as well as being involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching. She has many publications in leading peer reviewed scientific journals, and has been awarded major grants to continue her research.
Dr Kozor is also actively involved in education and advocacy of CMR and cardiovascular research: she is Treasurer of the Australia New Zealand CMR Working Group, co-organiser/chair of Sydney CMR meetings and CMR Australia meetings, an Associate Editor of SCMR Case of the Week, a Member of the Northern Sydney Local Health District Human Research Ethics Committee, and a Honorary Board Director of Heart Research Australia.
In addition to consulting from our Chatswood Clinic Dr Kozor is a staff specialist cardiologist at Royal North Shore Hospital and is also accredited to provide care at North Shore Private Hospital.
