Ray graduated from Newcastle University in 2008. He performed two years of postgraduate training in the Hunter before undertaking Basic and Advanced Physician’s training in Melbourne. He completed his specialist training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine in 2017 at the Austin Hospital and Victoria Respiratory Support Service, involving management of complex ventilation in neuromuscular disease. Ray is currently appointed at the Calvary Mater as a staff specialist in General Medicine, whilst also providing a Respiratory consultation service, including the management of lung cancer in the oncology service at the Calvary Mater Hospital. In addition to general respiratory medicine Ray has specific interests in the management of Sleep disorders (including obstructive sleep apnoea, snoring, excessive tiredness), airways disease, lung cancer, and pleural disease.
