Dr Ray Lancashire has a long association with Mater and commenced his Internship at Mater Hospital Brisbane in 1977 and completed surgical training in 1983. Dr Lancashire went on to further training in trauma and oncology at the University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, returning to commence work at the Mater Hospital Brisbane and as a VMO at the Mater Private Hospital Brisbane in 1986.
Dr Lancashire performs General Surgery encompassing colon surgery, thyroid surgery, hernia repair, and laparoscopic surgery including laparoscopic gallbladder surgery.
Dr Lancashire will conduct private work at Mater Private Hospital Springfield.
He is a member of General Surgeons Australia, RACS sections of Upper GI and Colorectal Surgery, and BreastSurgANZ.
He is also a member of the State Committee for Surgical Training and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons State Committee. Dr Lancashire is also involved in medical student teaching through the University of Queensland.
