Dr Ravi Rao is a minimally invasive surgeon, with a focus on advanced laparoscopy and bariatrics. He is a certified Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
He has a formal Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy and Bariatrics through the Fellowship Council of the United States of America following study at Atlanta Medical Centre, Georgia.
Dr Rao was mentored by renowned Dr Titus Duncan, MD, FACS, in minimal invasive general and weight loss surgery. His bariatric scope of practice includes laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, various types of gastric bypass and revision surgeries.
Dr Rao is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO) and Obesity Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (OSSANZ).
