Dr Raj Tanna is a specialist in Psychiatry and Psychotherapeutic Medicine and a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
Dr Tanna has extensive experience in the assessment and management of a broad range of Mental Health illnesses including psychosis, depression, bipolar affective disorders, anxiety, OCD, stress related and post traumatic disorders, personality issues & Psychotherapeutic medicine in the General Adult and Young Adult population.
Most recently he served as Head of Services at Joondalup Community Mental Health Services, providing expertise and leadership to achieve quality patient centred services. He has published and presented at numerous national and international conferences.
He has practised in London and Perth, leading award winning specialised Community Mental Health teams, and is a leading expert in Early Intervention. As senior clinical advisor to Black Swan Health in 2014, he was influential in the design & establishment in Perth of the headspace Youth Early Psychosis Programme, a world first model of early intervention and specialist support to young people experiencing or at risk of psychosis.
During his primary medical degree from University College London, he completed a BSc specialising in Cognitive Neurosciences including research with Prof John O’Keefe.
