Dr Rajinder Singh-Rai trained in the UK and is a graduate of Guys and St Thomas’s medical schools. His basic surgical training was based at London teaching hospitals and resulted in membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS Ed). He then completed his Master of Surgery (MS) research thesis in Prostate Cancer at the University of London before proceeding onto his advanced surgical training in the South of England. He completed his Specialist Uro-Oncology Fellowship at Monash Hospital in Melbourne under the direct supervision of Professor Mark Frydenberg where he gained significant further experience in the operative management of complex kidney, bladder, prostate and testis cancer. Raj holds Fellowships with both the UK (FRCS Urol) and Australasian (FRACS) Royal College of Surgeons. He is well trained in all aspects of Urology with extensive experience in minimally invasive treatment of kidney cancer, complex pelvic uro-oncology and testis cancer, elective and emergency treatment of urinary stone disease, assessment and treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms and male sexual dysfunction. Raj currently works at the Lyell McEwin and Royal Adelaide Hospitals and is also employed as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer by the University of Adelaide. He has published widely having authored over 30 peer-reviewed papers, numerous abstracts and has presented his work at both national and international academic Urology meetings.
