Dr Rachel Manifold grew up on the Eyre Peninsula, South Australia and completed her medical undergraduate training at the Adelaide University in 1996. Following this she moved to Sydney where she passed the entrance exam for dermatology training and then completed a Masters in Medicine thesis at the University of New South Wales, studying photodynamic therapy, a relatively new treatment option for skin cancers.
Dr Manifold became a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2007, specialising in anatomical pathology. Her anatomical pathology training was undertaken in 3 states with time spent at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Royal Melbourne and Western Hospitals, Melbourne and Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide.
Dr Manifold returned to Adelaide and commenced training in dermatology in 2007, completing her training in January 2012. She is interested in both medical and surgical dermatology and has a particular interest in paediatric dermatology.
