Dr Deka has obtained his Medical degree from India in 2003 and has worked in various Medical and surgical sub-specialities before moving to Australia in 2012. He was in Physician training program in Australia and has worked in sub specialities including Endocrinology,Cardiology,Gastroenterology and Rheumatology He later changed his career to General Practice and completed practice training under AGPT in Australia in 2018 in regional Australia.
Dr Deka’s has particular interests in Diabetes, Endocrine disorder, Cardiac diseases including Arrhythmia, Autoimmune diseases such as Lupus and Rheumatoid. Dr Deka performs heart assessments as prevention to cardiovascular diseases including stroke and peripheral vascular disease
Dr Deka has a professional certificate in skin cancer surgery and has huge experience in diagnosing skin cancers including Melanoma,BCC,SCC and excision with cosmetic repair.
He lives with his wife and 3 year old son and is very enthusiastic in Dramatics and performance arts, he also likes to play badminton and soccer.
