Dr Pooja Kashyap (Paediatrician)

Pooja is a Paediatrician committed to working with families in maintaining the health and wellbeing of children. She has over 12 years of experience and is an academic gold medallist trained in General paediatrics with special interest in neonatal medicine and developmental and behavioural paediatrics. During her training at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, she worked in the department of Psychological Medicine gaining invaluable experience in managing children with behavioural, neuropsychiatric and mental health issues. She has worked across various tertiary, metropolitan and rural centres in NSW including Royal North Shore Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She has also been involved with organizing developmental assessment clinics throughout the Central Coast. Her research includes “Developmental Disabilities in Indigenous Children in rural NSW’. She is currently also appointed at Gosford Hospital.

She is actively involved in medical student teaching and holds a conjoint lecturer position at UNSW, Rural Clinical School. She has previously served as an examiner for medical students at University of Newcastle. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, classical music and spending time with her family.
