'Philip grew up on a farm near Merredin before moving to Perth to train at UWA. This was followed by stints at eight different WA hospitals including Sir Charles Gairdner, Albany Regional and King Edward Memorial hospital where he completed a Certificate of Women’s Health. Philip and his wife moved back to Albany at the start of 2017 to enjoy the beach and an outdoor lifestyle. When he is not working at the practice or emergency department, Philip spends time with his family, surfing and exploring the Great Southern.
