Dr Silbert completed his neurology training through the Western Australian State Neurology training program.
Post graduate Fellowships were undertaken at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota USA in the areas of clinical neurology and neurophysiology (EMG, EEG and muscle relaxant injections between 1992 and 1994. After returning to Perth in 1994 Dr Silbert worked as a Neurologist, Neurophysiologist and Epileptologist, in the private and public health system, moving fully to the private sector in April 2012.
He is a Clinical Professor of Neurology (University of Western Australia) and is on the board of the Neurological Council of Western Australia.
His private practice is based around neurophysiology (EMG and EEG) and muscle relaxant injections, working closely with Spinal and Orthopaedic Surgeons, Neurosurgeons and Plastic Surgeons clinically assessing patients with spinal and limb musculoskeletal and related neurological problems.
