Dr. Montgomery joined the Gold Coast Eye Clinic in 2004. He has been working on the Gold Coast since 2000. He is originally from New Zealand, where he completed most of his studies. After graduating from Otago University in 1986 he travelled overseas where he underwent sub-speciality training from three years at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Manchester Royal Hospital in the UK. He then moved on to Montreal, Canada. He specializes in eyelid and tear duct surgery, ocular (skin repair) plastics, orbital surgery, eyelid tumors, thyroid related eye diseases, Endonasal DCR for blocked tear ducts and the management of ptosis (droopy eyes). Dr. Montgomery’s special interests include playing golf and spending time with his family
