I completed my medical studies at Queensland University from 1974 to 1979. I then did my internship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. After a 3 year gap from medicine, whilst I was training for Olympic and Commonwealth Games teams for the 800m, I set up in general practice in Logan City, where I worked for the next 33 years. I strongly believe in equality for all with regards to health services and have for this reason always worked in Bulk-Billing clinics that provide 7 day a week services. Given my personal experience in Athletics, Rugby Union and Touch Football, my special area of interest within general practice is Sports Medicine. Outside of Medicine, I have a passion for board games and have designed and published several games.
