Dr Bliton was born in Orange, Central West NSW. Schooled in Orange and went to University of New South Wales, graduating in 1982. He spent 24 years in rural NSW at Moree, practicing a wide variety of general practice, and working at the local hospital in emergency, giving anaesthetics and delivering babies.
