Dr Pavitra Sharma was born and brought up in the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh in India. After finishing her MBBS, she provided primary health care in the remotest regions in demanding conditions in her home state. She worked as a GP for almost 11 years in India and moved to Australia in 2016. She is interesed in all areas of General Practice, especially Women’s health, Children’s health and Geriatrics. Coming from a culturally diverse country, she is able to connect with people of all age groups and cultural backgrounds. Dr Pavitra is an avid traveller and in her spare time watches Bollywood movies and loves to spend time with her family (her husband and two kids). She is fluent in English and HIndi, and understands and speaks Urdu and Punjabi as well.
