Dr Theron has recently moved to Australia from Canada, having originally graduated from Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 2008. After completing his studies he moved to Mission, BC in Canada to pursue family practice there, where he obtained the additional qualification of CCFP (Certificant of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.) He has worked as an Emergency Room Physician and Hospitalist at Mission Memorial Hospital, where he was the local department head of Hospitalist Medicine from 2017 to 2019.
Dr Theron is involved in all facets of his patient’s healthcare, with a particular interest in sports medicine, preventative healthcare and chronic disease management. He is a keen sports traveller, having trained karate and muay thai abroad as well as alpine mountaineering on 3 continents. Dr Theron is excited to become involved in the health and wellbeing of the Helensburgh and surrounding communities.
