Dr Paul Ricciardo graduated in Medicine from the University of Western Australia in 2007, having spent the 5th year of his studies in Esperance as part of the Rural Clinical School. Upon graduation he worked in Perth, Esperance, Northern NSW, and several small towns along the way whilst traveling around Australia.
Paul returned to Western Australia in 2011 after being accepted onto the anaesthetic training program. He is now a fully qualified specialist anaesthetist with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. The Esperance lifestyle and surf has lured Paul and his wife Jessica back to raise their 2 young children. He now has an Anaesthetic clinical lead role at the Esperance Hospital, and helps cover the Emergency department, as well as providing general practice work at Recherche Medical.
