Dr Paul Adler is a general ophthalmologist/cataract surgeon. His school education was at Sydney Boy’s High School, followed by degrees in optometry then medicine at the University of NSW. Training in ophthalmology/surgery took place based at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, and Sydney Eye Hospital.
Dr Adler spent 12 years based in Bathurst, operating at Bathurst Base Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital (Bathurst), Lithgow public and private hospitals, Springwood and Mudgee Hospital.
Dr Adler moved his practice to the Blue Mountains in mid 2008, following the construction of Parke Street Specialist Centre in Parke street Katoomba. He currently works based at the specialist centre, and operates at Lithgow and Springwood public hospitals, and Lithgow private hospital.
Dr Adler also does satellite consultation days at Lithgow weekly.
Within ophthalmology, Dr Adler’s main interests are cataract and glaucoma. Parke Street Specialist Centre also has ophthalmologists specializing in medical retina, surgical retina, oculoplastics and glaucoma, in addition to other specialists in rehabilitation medicine, orthopaedic surgery, urology, plastic surgery, endocrinology, renal(kidney) medicine, and rheumatology.
Outside ophthalmology, Dr Adler’s interests include bushwalking and photography.
