Pam is a compassionate and thoughtful psychologist who focuses on helping clients relate to themselves with kindness and empathy. She has worked in a range of inpatient and outpatient settings, including public and private hospitals, a university counselling clinic, and a drug and alcohol service. As part of her PhD she created a website to help new and expectant parents reduce their chance of experiencing mood problems (http://www.partnerstoparents.org).
Pam works with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, mood problems during pregnancy or following childbirth, self-critical thoughts, perfectionism, stress, problems linked to experiences during childhood, and family and relationship problems.
Depending on client needs and preferences, Pam draws on a number of evidence-based approaches including Schema Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness.
