Dr Nicole White has been operating GP 4 Kids, a specialised general practice service focusing on providing quality care to children since 2016. She has extensive experience and skills in the area of children’s health and is excited to bring GP 4 Kids to Neighbourhood Medical.

Nicole commenced her studies at The University of Queensland and graduated as a Physiotherapist in 1998. She went on to receive First Class Honours in Medicine, from the Sydney University in 2003.

Nicole spent her years as a junior doctor on the paediatric specialty training programme working with children of all ages at the Mater Childrens Hospital. She continued to work in the Mater Children’s Emergency Department until its closure in 2014.

Nicole has been a GP for over 12 years and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She also has a postgraduate Diploma of Child Health and is a representative on the Qld Children’s and Youth Clinical Network. She worked for several years as a GP at Hummingbird House, Queensland’s first and only children’s hospice for terminally ill children.

Alongside her work as a children’s GP, Nicole consults in the paediatric Behavioural and Developmental Outpatient department at Ipswich Hospital.

Outside of work, Nicole is a mum to 3 busy children. She understands first-hand the busy life of modern families and the challenges that this brings. She does her best to maintain regular exercise to offset her love of cooking. She also enjoys spending time at the beach and on the water with her family.

Nicole sees children of all ages and is skilled at managing a broad range of health issues in young people. Healthy babies start with a healthy pregnancy and Nicole is also keen to look after expectant mothers and those planning a pregnancy.
