MBCT is now very popular internationally and is backed by clinical scientific research. The program was developed in the UK and is based on the highly commended 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program created by John Kabat-Zinn from the Centre of Mindfulness, Massachusetts USA.

The MBCT/MBSR programs are designed to help people through chronic mental and physical distress.

Through the practice of mindfulness, participants discover a new way to relieve distress, manage challenging symptoms and find peace
