Dr Ozanne is a Consultant Occupational Physician (Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine – Royal Australasian College of Physicians), and a WorkCover WA Approved Medical Specialist for permanent impairment assessment. He combines his specialist Occupational Physician training with his background of over 25 years specialist General Practice experience to provide a comprehensive, holistic, biopsychosocial approach to undertake Independent Medical Assessments and Advice for work-related conditions, and non-work-related conditions that are impacting on work including: • Physical, medical, and mental health. • Independent Medical Examinations. • Permanent Impairment Assessments. • Fitness for Work Assessments. • Return to Work Advice.
When he was a GP, Dr Ozanne found that the biggest long-term differences he made in his patient's lives was by effectively treating their mental health problems and their work-related injuries/problems. Which were usually inter-related. This led him to undertake further specialist training as an Occupational Physician.
Dr Ozanne believes in all parties working together for a win-win situation; managing an injured worker back to his or her best ability, ie a productive employee, working for a profitable employer, supported by a proactive insurer.
He derives great professional satisfaction in helping return a worker to full productivity.
