Dr Negin Sedaghat FRACS is a distinguished Specialist General Surgeon with subspecialisation in Breast Surgery, Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery. Dr Sedaghat is BreastSurgANZ certified in Breast Surgery and awarded Professional Certification with distinction in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery (USYD). She is a member of both Breast Cancer and Endocrine Disease Multidisciplinary Teams at Macquarie University Hospital with access to the leading Macquarie University Clinical Trials Unit.
Dr Sedaghat is highly qualified and experienced in breast cancer treatment and comprehensive breast assessment. She performs a wide-range of advanced oncoplastic & reconstructive breast surgery as well as diagnostic breast procedures. In endocrine and general surgery, Dr Sedaghat specialises in parathyroid & thyroid surgery including thyroid nodule assessment; skin spots & lumps; and, hernia repair.
Dr Sedaghat is the current MD Discipline Lead for Patient Safety & Quality at Macquarie University, Clinical Examiner with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and invited to assist the editorial boards of international surgical research journals on numerous occasions. Her expertise is balanced with a compassionate and holistic approach to surgery and surgical care.
