Dr Natasha Woodward is a Senior Medical Oncologist in Mater Hospital Brisbane and Mater Private Hospital Brisbane; an Honorary Research Fellow with Mater Research, and a Senior Lecturer, University of Queensland. Her special interests are breast cancer and gastrointestinal cancers.

Dr Woodward graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1993 obtaining an MBBS with first class honours and a University Medal. She obtained her FRACP in 2002 with a Medical Oncology speciality.

Dr Woodward was appointed Staff Medical Oncologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2003, and in 2010 moved to be appointed Senior Medical Oncologist within Mater Health Services.

Dr Woodward has had a long term commitment to clinical research and has been principal investigator at the above sites for many clinical trials which have been practice changing for patients with breast cancer and gastrointestinal cancer. She has currently open clinical trials for a diverse range of breast cancer patient groups. Her particular research interest is HER2+ breast cancer. Dr Woodward has published on cardiotoxicity in this population in the American Heart Journal. Dr Woodward is a member of the Breast Cancer Expert Working Group of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia, and ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group. Dr Woodward is also a member of the AGITG and ASCO.

Dr Woodward has recently started private practice at Mater Cancer Care Centre in South Brisbane.
