Naomi graduated from Monash University, Victoria in 2003. She then worked as a resident at Geelong Hospital for two years. Following this she worked at a number of Queensland Hospital and Health Services including Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Bowen, Mt Isa and Ingham. In 2006 Naomi took up a one-year overseas attachment position at Cork Mercy Hospital in Ireland. She returned to Townsville Hospital in 2007 and started her Fellowship with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) in 2008, this was completed in 2010. Naomi completed a National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health in 2009 and a Diploma of Child Health through the Westmead Children’s Hospital in 2013. She is currently studying a post graduate certificate in Women’s Health. Naomi is also passionate about improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. Naomi is also the mother of three young children which ensures that she maintains a very good work/life balance throughout all her various roles. Naomi runs our women’s health clinic on the first Saturday of every month.
