I studied medicine and graduated in 1992 from University of Dhaka. I immigrated to New Zealand in 1994, and completed a Masters Degree in Public Health and a Masters in Health Sciences endorsed in Gerontology from University of Otago. I have worked in general practice for the last ten years in South Island ( Banks Pennisula, North Canterbury and Marlborough regions) in New Zealand. I have been a GP Teacher and a facilitator for General Practice Education Program (GPEP1) with the Royal New Zealand college of GPs. I worked as a Continuing Medical Education Director for the GPs in Marlborough. I moved to Australia to be close to my three daughters and enjoy the wonderful lifestyle of the Illawarra region. My special interests lie in Health Care of the Elderly, Child Health, Skin Cancer, Mens Health,  Medical  Research and Teaching. I enjoy working with families and feel privilaged to be part of a family practice. In my spare time, I enjoy bush walking, trail running, playing tennis kayaking and swimming.
